Fisher Temperament Inventory, FTI

Online version of the Fisher Temperament Inventory (FTI), a personality assessment developed by biological anthropologist Helen Fisher. The test is based on research into the biological foundations of temperament and proposes that many personality traits are influenced by the activity of several key brain systems and neurochemicals. According to this model, human personality can be broadly described using four temperament dimensions, each associated with a particular neurochemical profile: Explorer, Builder, Director, and Negotiator. These types are linked respectively with the influence of dopamine, serotonin, testosterone, and estrogen (together with oxytocin).

Fisher's research suggests that certain temperaments may be naturally drawn to specific complementary or similar personality styles.
