Distress Tolerance Scale, DTS

Online version of the Distress Tolerance Scale (DTS), a self-report measure assessing perceived ability to tolerate and manage negative emotional states. The scale captures four components – Tolerance, Appraisal, Absorption, and Regulation – reflecting how individuals experience, evaluate, and respond to distress. It is used to identify low distress tolerance as a transdiagnostic risk factor across a range of mental health conditions.
