Body-Mind-Senses Awareness Subscale (BMSAS) – the degree of present-moment awareness of bodily sensations, emotions, desires, psychological reactions, discursive thinking, mental states, and the five sense perceptions, as they arise, persist, and pass, rather than being noticed only in retrospect.

Higher scores indicate greater awareness.

Greed-Distress Non-clinging Subscale (GDNCS) – the degree to which a person avoids becoming caught up in or indulging (clinging to) unhappy emotions, thoughts, sensations, psychological reactions, and desires when they arise.

Higher scores indicate greater non-clinging (less getting caught up).
