Actively Open-Minded Thinking is measured by items that tap the willingness to consider alternative opinions, sensitivity to evidence contradictory to current beliefs, the willingness to postpone closure, and reflective thought.

Higher scores indicate the person tends to weigh evidence against their own opinions, welcome new and alternative information, revise conclusions in light of new evidence, and avoid quick, overconfident, or intuition-based decisions.
