Online version of the Defense Mechanism Rating Scales (DMRS-SR-30), a 30-item self-report measure based on the gold-standard DMRS. The instrument assesses the entire hierarchy of 28 defense mechanisms organized into seven defense levels and provides scores for Overall Defensive Functioning (ODF) and defense levels. It is the first self-report instrument to capture the full theoretical hierarchy of defense mechanisms.
