Online version of the Gender Role Conflict Scale (GRCS), developed to assess personal conflicts associated with restrictive expectations of masculinity. The scale measures four patterns: concern with success, power, and competition; difficulty experiencing and expressing emotions; discomfort with affectionate behavior between men; and conflict between work or study demands and family, health, and leisure.
The scale was originally developed for men. The female version is a later adaptation with gender-specific wording.
