Secrets of the Cube

Online version of The Cube (also known as “Cube in the Desert”), a popular imagination-based projective test, “that holds a secret you are dared not to reveal.” The task involves visualizing a set of objects (such as a cube, a ladder, a horse, and a storm) in a desert scene and describing their characteristics and relationships. The interpretations are based on symbolic associations: each element of the scene is assumed to represent aspects of personality, relationships, or emotional life.

The game was popularized by Annie Gottlieb in her books, though its exact origin is unclear and is sometimes attributed to earlier storytelling or Sufi traditions.
