Questionnaire Measure of Emotional Empathy, QMEE

Online version of the Questionnaire Measure of Emotional Empathy (QMEE), or Emotional Empathic Tendency Scale (EETS), developed by Albert Mehrabian in 1972 – one of the earliest widely used self-report measures of emotional empathy. The scale focuses primarily on affective empathy, measuring emotional responsiveness, compassion, sensitivity to others' feelings, and the capacity to experience emotions vicariously.

The scale was later replaced by the Balanced Emotional Empathy Scale (BEES).

Also known as Questionnaire Measure of Empathic Tendency, or Emotional Empathic Tendency Scale (EETS).

In 1996, the author introduced the updated Balanced Emotional Empathy Scale (BEES) as a revision of the QMEE.
