Positive and Negative Affect Schedule, PANAS-X

Online version of the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), a self-report measure assessing two broad dimensions of affect: positive affect and negative affect. It captures the extent to which individuals experience pleasurable engagement (e.g., enthusiasm, alertness) and distressing emotional states (e.g., fear, anger) over a specified time frame.

An expanded form, PANAS-X, assesses a broad range of specific emotional states. In addition to the general dimensions of positive and negative affect, it captures multiple discrete emotions (e.g., fear, hostility, guilt, sadness, joviality, self-assurance, attentiveness), providing a more detailed profile of affective experience across different time frames.
